CEREC Primescan is a powerful 3D scanner. This intraoral scanner takes thousands of pictures of your mouth, turning them into a 3D image with the help of some special software. This allows Dr. Bauer to get unprecedented insights into your oral health, and develop treatment plans quickly and easily. It also means you can skip uncomfortable, messy dental impressions with dental putty and trays. We call that a win-win.
CEREC uses CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Manufacturing) to build ceramic and zirconia dental crowns and other restorations in our office. Dr. Bauer will simply load a block of tooth-colored porcelain block into our CEREC Primemill. Then, he will upload his design and this block will automatically cut it into the proper shape. That means fewer appointments, less time spent in the dentist’s chair, and better overall results.
CBCT is short for “Cone Beam Computed Tomography.” This is a type of digital x-ray that scans your entire head and jaw, capturing multiple angles with a cone-shaped beam. These x-rays are then stitched together to create an accurate, precise 3D model of your entire mouth.
With our dental 3D printer, we can build restorations and dental appliances without an outside dental lab. From whitening trays to tooth models, temporary restorations, and more, 3D printing makes it easier than ever to serve patients with convenient, fast, and affordable dental care.
